Sound Magazine

The third magazine is called SOUND it is for the mass market and is a predominately rock-orientated magazine. The main cover stars are Kings of Leon. The main cover line linked to them is placed at the bottom of the front cover, covering the image. The text is placed inside a black box so I used white lettering to make it pop out on the page. I didn't use red this time to match the masthead as I didn't want too much red on the page and i thought white worked better with the background. The other cover lines I added are white and red. The title in bold white and the details in red - this still creates a connection with the magazine and masthead. I also used other artists that fit the rock theme and are similar to Kings of Leon. In one of the cover lines I used an exclusive to entice the reader to read on further. The red, white and black all work together well creating a successful house style - meaning there is full coherence between the cover lines and the magazine.
