Here I have analysed 4 current Pop magazine mastheads. I have looked into what makes them work and how they are used to target audiences effectively. I have also researched the importance of Mastheads and how they should be used to create a successful magazine ethos that you want to go for.
I can use this task to proceed with my Masthead. From the research I have found out that Pink is a big player in mastheads but other colours can also be used that are attractive to teenagers and girls in particular. I think that not using pink in some way will be a mistake, However I am not going to use it too much as I don't want my magazine to be overly girly. The font I am going to use on my masthead is important and I must think carefully before choosing. I must go through a process of seeing what works and what doesn't. The decisions I make in designing my masthead must be carefully planned and not over looked.
